How to Join Frisco HS PTSA

Membership is open, without discrimination, to anyone who supports the purposes and basic policies of the National PTA, Texas PTA and FHS PTSA, and who has paid dues required by FHS PTSA.  This includes, but is not limited to, parents, guardians, students, family members, teachers and school staff, FHS alumni, and community members.  PTSA membership must be renewed annually.  Your current PTSA membership is valid through July 31st after the school year.

Types of FHS PTSA Memberships

Individual Regular Membership: This membership is designed for individuals - FHS students, parents and community members. Each member is eligible to vote at General Membership Meetings. Current dues are $10 each.

FHS Staff Membership: This membership is for FHS teachers and staff. It is a regular individual membership. Each member is eligible to vote at General Membership Meetings. Current dues are $10 each.

Texas PTA Lifetime Annual Membership: This membership is for those who have previously received a Texas PTA Lifetime Membership Award. No dues are paid to Texas PTA, so the annual membership is slightly less at $7.75 each.

SPONSOR an FHS Teacher / Staff Membership:  For parents/community members who would like to SPONSOR the membership(s) of FHS teacher/staff member(s). FHS Admin will then assign those memberships(s) to staff. This will help us reach our goal of 100% staff participation.

FHS PTSA Membership Benefits

Parents:

• Tap into Frisco HS PTSA’s network and get connected! This is a great way to get involved and volunteer during your child’s high school years. If interested, reach out to our VP of Membership at membership@friscohighptsa.org.

Students:

• Graduation cord - If you were a member of FHS PTSA all possible year that you attended Frisco HS, you will receive an FHS PTSA graduation cord.

• FEF scholarships - Seniors who have been members of FHS PTSA for their time at Frisco High School are eligible to apply for one of our annual Frisco Education Foundation (FEF) scholarships. See our Scholarships page for more details.

• Student Engagement Committee Liaison- Members can apply to be an FHS PTSA Student Engagement Committee Liaison. More details can be found HERE.

Teachers:

• We are here to support you! In addition to the many benefits you receive as a member, we also do periodic raffles for lunch and other fun perks.

• We welcome supporting any initiatives you may have for the FHS, your colleagues and/or the community. We will be implementing a Mini Grant process to facilitate the funding of such programs.

All Members:

SENIOR MEMBERSHIP PERK

Seniors who have been members of FHS PTSA for all possible years will receive an FHS PTSA graduation cord.

Fun Fact: Our cord’s colors - purple and gold - were chosen by Mr. Barrentine, Frisco High School Principal, 2017-2022. These are the colors of his alma mater, Ouachita Baptist University. As he was instrumental in bringing FHS PTSA into existence, we wanted to recognize him by letting him choose the cord colors.
